Brian T. McCormack, 56, of Chicago, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Katie (née Dobzyn) and a proud father to Michael, Grace, Max, and Rose. Cherished son of Michael and Noreen (née Kelly), Brian was a loving brother to Kevin (Kelly), Shannon (Tom) Molloy, and Colin, and a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will also be deeply missed by his loyal fur-friends Levi, Kygo, Tito, and Guinness, and countless friends and family.
Brian was a proud graduate of St. Mary of the Woods grammar school, Loyola Academy High School, and the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana. A visionary and dynamic entrepreneur, Brian founded several successful companies, including InnerWorkings and Cresco Labs, leaving a lasting impact on their industries.
He also served as a mentor, advisor, and philanthropist, dedicating his time and resources to initiatives close to his heart, particularly those focused on mental health, healthcare, and community development. His board positions with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) and Rush University Medical Center reflected his deep commitment to improving lives and addressing critical issues. Brian's work in these areas exemplified his unwavering dedication to creating a better and brighter future.
A passionate music lover, Brian was a devoted superfan of Bruce Springsteen, whom he saw perform on several continents and numerous venues across the United States. His love of music brought him immense joy and connected him with friends and fellow fans around the world.
Brian loved traveling, scuba diving, skiing, golfing, and boating, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends, especially on getaways and holidays. Known for his generous spirit and adventurous nature, Brian left a legacy of love, laughter, and inspiration.
