Catherine Ann Miserendino (nee Holly), 74, of Chicago, Illinois.

Loving wife of Dr. Leo Miserendino; beloved sister of the late Emmett (Margaret) McDermott and Janice (the late Robert) Zimmer. Fond aunt of Kevin, Sean, Mike, Mary and Pat McDermott, Kate Schotsky, Liz Kinsella, Mary Zimmer and Robert Zimmer.

Cathy was born in Chicago on July 12, 1951, to Elizabeth and Howard Holly. She passed away after a lengthy battle with cancer surrounded by loving family members on August 10, 2025. Cathy was a graduate of Barat College in Lake Forest, IL and later served as the Executive Director of the Barat College Education Foundation. Cathy joined the Lake Forest Library Board in 2006, eventually serving as its President. Cathy loved the arts, particularly music and dance. She was a loyal supporter of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Harris Theater. She also enjoyed being a member of the University Club of Chicago. Along with the many friendships she formed there, she was a reliable, enthusiastic fixture in one exercise class or another. Cathy loved being together with family and friends, where her infectious laugh was her constant companion.

Family and friends will meet at 11AM on September 6th, 2025 for a funeral mass at St. Peter's Church, 110 W. Madison Street, Chicago, IL 60602. A reception will follow from 12PM – 2PM at The University Club of Chicago, 76 E. Monroe Street, Chicago, IL 60603.
