Brian Richard Reilly

Brian (Brain) Richard Reilly passed away suddenly on July 24, 2024. He was 81 years young. Brian was predeceased by his parents Grace Ann McDonald & William John Reilly. He was also predeceased by his beloved brother John (Billy) William Reilly & his sister-in-law Susan Flynn (formerly Reilly).
Brian was in the gym every other day right up to the day he died. He loved all animals especially his many Golden Retrievers & his horse Reagan.
For over 40 years he was a business owner, first the Majestic in Lake Placid, N.Y. with good friends Mike Hollrock and Bart Johnson, and then the Sandpiper Lounge in Flagler Beach, Fl. Later on in life, much later, he went on to get a degree in nursing. He was an RN for 15+ years. All that knew Brian loved him and he remained friends with many of his former customers from both businesses.
He was married to Kathleen Dillon Reilly for 10 years and they remained best of friends and spent many holidays together. He lived with Tracy Stanton Colby for 10 years and raised her son Keith R. Stanton from 14 months old until the day he died. Keith and his wife Molly Babcock Stanton moved to Florida to be closer to him. They spent many weekends arguing politics, the right way to mow, and how to hit a nail. Needless to say, he loved a spirited conversation. Tracy and Brian remained friends right up to the day he died. When he got sick and couldn't be alone she flew to Florida and picked him up from Kathleen's and stayed the next 10 days taking care of him while he convalesced.
Brian loved being Irish. He went as far as dying his mustache green and always ate corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick's Day.
Brian is survived by his niece a talented photographer, Kim Reilly Szymanski and her husband Mark and their beautiful daughter Teagan. He is also survived by his nephew John (Billy) William Reilly III a talented woodworker.
He loved to brag about Kim's many photograph's and Billy's many creations often sending pictures and screen shots to his many friends. Known as Uncle Bunny, he will be greatly missed.
