It is with profound sadness that on Friday, January 30, 2026, Brian Wilson Sawyer passed away at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Brian was born in Gaston County, son of Bruce and Debra Blake Sawyer. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Alan Sawyer, his paternal grandparents, Brad and Margie Sawyer, and his maternal grandparents, Joe and Frances Blake.
Brian will be remembered for his sweet spirit and love for his family. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A service to celebrate Brian's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Rev. Dr. Russell Stalvey will officiate. Burial will follow at Goshen Cemetery in Belmont. The family will greet guests from 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.

Although we will miss Brian, he will be in our hearts forever.
