Brian Wayne Young, age 56, Son of Ralph L. Young (Elizabeth) and Gwendolyn Young of Coshocton, Ohio, passed away at Honor Health Osborn in Scottdale, Arizona on November 8, 2024. Brian grew up in a loud and loving home in Coshocton, where he excelled in making all he met smile, including the grouchiest of his relatives and was an overall joy in everything he undertook, except perhaps his father's driving lessons. He graduated from the JVS High school in Coshocton, Ohio and started his life of adventures. Moving around and experiencing life as it came from Ohio to Florida and Florida to Arizona. He brought smiles and the best type of friendship to all who knew him. While he never had children of his own Brian better known as "Uncle Bubby, Uncle Brian, and Uncle BriBri" to his many nieces and nephews was adored by all of them. He brought acceptance and plural thinking to a small town with a single mindset. He was always unapologetically himself and showed the younger generations that they could be and do anything they wanted. He finally settled in Arizona and while he brought great love and happiness to his chosen family there, he left a large hole in his family in Ohio. His visits home were marked with celebration, music, laughing and more than a few drinks.
His family and community in Arizona took over from there and showed him love, showed him affection and helped him create a home that made him feel complete. That made him feel safe, and most importantly made him feel accepted and loved. He spent time in people's homes, watching their pets. He spent time with his friends and building an environment that anyone would be lucky to call their home.
Brian is survived by his 4 brothers Ralph Young Jr. (Kelly) of West Lafayette, Jay Young of Oak Harbor, WA., Michael Young of Coshocton, Brad Young (Paula) of Coshocton and his sister Frances Burch (Troy) of Dexter City; twelve nieces and nephews; seventeen great nieces and nephews and two great-great nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, He is preceded in death by His Brother Bruce Jon Young; One Nephew David Rusnak; Many beloved friends.
Services for Brian will be held at Messinger in Scottsdale followed by a joyous celebration of his life at Pattie's First Avenue Lounge. We ask that you dress to shine, bright colors and sparkles. Come out to show out. Bring the happy that Brian brought to you. Tears are meant to be happy tears as we celebrate this life of this uniquely beautiful soul.
