Bridget Ornell Obituary
Bridget P. "Phil" Ornell (Mulcahy), age 88, of Weymouth passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. Bridget was born in County Waterford, Ireland and came to the U.S. in 1956 when she was 18. She married Ralph Ornell in 1956 and started a family in Dorchester. Phil enjoyed reading, traveling and working as a nurse's aide with veterans.
Phil is the mother of Teri Ornell of Braintree, Kevin Ornell and his wife Sharon of Worcester, Coleen Ornell of Weymouth, and the late Ralph Ornell Jr, grandmother of Natalie, Reece, Jami, and Ethan, sister of Mary Nolan, Beccie Keevers, John Mulcahy, Eileen McNiel, Sheila Powers, Esther Mulcahy, and the late Matthew Mulcahy. Bridget is also survived by her former husband Ralph Ornell and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Phil on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 from 4-7 pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 7pm immediately following the visitation. A burial service will take place at 11am Wednesday Morning at St. Joseph's cemetery in W. Roxbury.
