Brittany Nicole Grimm, age 30, of Garnett Valley, PA, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025. Born on August 23, 1994, she lived a vibrant and adventurous life that touched all who knew her. She filled her days-and the hearts of those around her-with more adventure, laughter, and joy than many do in a lifetime.

A woman of many passions, Brittany loved model railroading and found joy exploring America one train trip at a time. She enjoyed days filled with shooting sports, the excitement of NASCAR races, the twang of country music, and the thrill of live concerts. Her free time was also spent cherishing the peaceful rhythm of fishing, cooking for those she loved (she grilled the meanest of Tomahawk steaks!), and belting out her favorite songs at karaoke.

She treasured time spent at the cabin that she shared with her father in Potter County, Pennsylvania, and where cherished memories were made with family and friends. Her laughter, adventurous spirit, and warm heart will be deeply missed.

Brittany is survived by her father, Andrew D. Grimm (Media, PA),his long-term partner, Elena Umland (Waterford, NY) and her children Marlena Umland (Dresden, Germany) and Niklas Umland (Merchantville, NJ); her paternal grandparents, Susan and Douglas Grimm (Denver, PA), aunt and uncle, Patsy and Michael E. Grimm (Glenolden, PA), uncle, Matthew Grimm (Denver, PA); and cousin, Michael S. Grimm (Glenolden, PA). On her maternal side, Brittany is survived by her great-grandparents, Eileen and Joseph Rohanna (Garnet Valley, PA); grandmother, Margaret Perkins (York, PA); and aunt, Amanda Wolpert (York, PA). She was preceded in death by her mother, Megan Grimm (McGonigal), her uncle, Joseph McGonigal, maternal grandfather, Michael McGonigal, and other beloved family members, paternal great-uncles Bruce Barker and Richard Barker.

Visitation and brief prayers will take place on Tuesday, August 19 from 9-11am at Cavanagh Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, PA, 19074.

In addition, family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Brittany's journey of life on Saturday, September 6 from 1-3pm at the same location – Cavanagh Funeral Home. In honor of her love of life, attendees may briefly share their stories and treasured memories, remembering the joy Brittany brought into their lives, and honor the light that will forever shine in their hearts. In keeping with her spirit, please wear attire that makes you smile. Black attire is unnecessary – and everyone who knew her knows how much she loved her flannel shirts!

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Spina Bifida association in Brittany's memory (Donate to Building a Better and Brighter Future). Donations can also be made to Camp Spifida where she enjoyed many summers as a child (Camp Spifida – A camp for kids with Spina Bifida).
