Roberta "Bobbie" Blum

Roberta J. "Bobbie" (nee Davis) Blum passed away peacefully at Jeanes Hospital on August 22, 2025, surrounded by family.

Bobbie was born in Philadelphia, PA and was raised in Norwood, PA. She attended Interboro High and graduated in 1967. Bobbie married her husband John in 1970 and moved to the Allentown, PA area where they started their family and were both involved with the LCYA Bulldogs. They returned to Norwood in the early 80's where they continued to raise their 2 daughters. Bobbie spent the later years of her life traveling and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play sports for Prospect Park Termites, Norwood Athletic Club, and Interboro High school. Bobbie (or Nanny as the kids knew her) was their biggest cheerleader and could often be found working the snack stand.

As a kid her summers were spent at her family's summer cabin in Neshaminy and as an adult she never missed the annual July 4th celebrations there with family. Bobbie spent summers in her later years at her house down the shore in Rio Grande, NJ. She loved all things Disney and enjoyed family vacations at her timeshare in Orlando.

Bobbie was employed by PECO for 36 years until her retirement in 2017. She was a member of Norwood United Methodist Church in Norwood, PA.

Her daughters, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life.

Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband John R. Blum, brother William C. Davis, Father William C Davis JR & Mother Gertrude E Davis (McKenzie)

Bobbie is survived by her daughters Lisa (Steve) Phillips and Michelle (Fernando "Woody") Latorre both of Norwood, PA, her sisters Lori Perloff of West Wildwood, NJ and Lynn (Bill) Davis-Wright of Langhorne, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Steven (Kerri) Phillips, Chynna (Cross) Phillips, Jon "Bubba" (Julia) Phillips, Mackenzie Latorre, Franco Latorre, Sierra Phillips, and Azia Phillips and her great-grandchildren Bella, Steven III, Hunter, Taytum, Kieran, Rahshie "Pop", Nasir, Erynn, Makai, Tareph Jr. "Juju", and Timere.

Bobbie will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Bobbie's name to Prospect Park Termites or Interboro High School wrestling Boosters.

Visitation for Bobbie will be held at Cavanagh Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike Norwood PA, on September fifth from 10:00am to 11:30am followed by a service at 11:30 am. Interment will be held at Arlington Cemetery at 2900 State Road in Drexel Hill PA.
