"Frank"

1934 - 2025

Francis (Frank) Dempter, 91, of Drexel Hill, PA died peacefully at home on Saturday, August 16, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 16, 1934, in West Philadelphia, PA.

In June 1956, he married the love of his life, Nancy Rooney, who remained his wife for over 69 years. Frank proudly served his country in the National Guard and Army. After his military service, Frank and Nancy resided in Darby, PA, where they raised 5 children and remained there for over 35 years. He built a respected career as an auto-body craftsman, known for his meticulous attention to detail and pride in every job.

Frank "Pop-Pop" Dempter loved golfing, fishing, playing pool, and having his "shot and beer" at family functions. He maintained his fantastic hair and strong spirit until the very end.

Frank was one of 6 children and is survived by his sister Marie Lemmo of Cherry Hill, NJ. He left a legacy of 5 children, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. His legacy includes son Kevin and daughter-in-law Tina, of Millsboro, DE, their daughter Katie and her son Kaleb of Colorado, their son Kevin and wife Nicole of Dallas, Texas, and their sons Casey and Christian; daughter Karen and son-in-law Daniel Gallagher of Woodlyn, PA and their sons, Brian and his partner Martina of Rome, Italy, and Matt and his partner Jerry, of New York City; daughter Nancy and son-in-law Michael of Downingtown, PA; son Sean and daughter-in-law Nikki of Springfield, PA, and their children Sean and Makayla; daughter Eileen and son-in-law Rich Kauker of Harleysville, PA, along with son Zachary Wagner and daughter Brianna.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Dorothy Catholic Church, Drexel Hill, PA, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Interment will be private.
