Brooks Smith, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, in Keene, Texas, at the age of 86. Born on March 13, 1938, in Cherokee, Texas to Clinton Brown and Lanora Pauline Kates Smith. Brooks married Carolyn Sue Meyers on September 4, 1958 in Comanche, Texas. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Brooks is survived by his wife, Carolyn Sue Smith; three sons, William Mark Smith (Angie), Russell Alan Smith (Tonya) and John David Smith. His legacy continues through his family, including four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Brooks's presence will be profoundly missed by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Services will be at a later date.
