Bruce Ahrensback, 76, of Clinton, Utah, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2025.
Bruce was born on November 6, 1949, in Ogden, Utah, to Harvey and Vera Ahrensback. He graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1968 and later attended Weber State University, where he majored in Political Science and minored in History. Before completing his degree, Bruce proudly served in the United States Army, spending nearly two years stationed in Korea. During that time, he met the love of his life, Hyo Suk Om.
On May 9, 1975, Bruce and Suk were married in Ogden, Utah. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two children, Amber and John.
After retiring in 2011, Bruce devoted his time to his passions-fishing, photography, and history. He enjoyed crafting his own fishing lures for fly fishing and spent countless hours outdoors. Photography was a lifelong love, and Bruce even launched an online business to share his artwork. His curiosity for history never waned; he delighted in reading biographies and historical works.
Bruce and Suk embraced retirement by traveling and RV camping, creating cherished memories along the way. Above all, Bruce treasured time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bruce is survived by his beloved wife, Suk; his children, Amber Deitenbeck and John Ahrensback; and his four grandchildren, James Om Deitenbeck, Samuel Ahrensback, Elex-Jonathan Om Ahrensback, and Colton Bruce Om Ahrensback. He is also survived by his siblings, Susan Black, Linda Larsen, and Steve Ahrensback.
A gathering in remembrance of Bruce will be held on December 29th at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th Street, Ogden. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that friends and family share stories or fond memories of Bruce to celebrate his life.
