Bruce Owen Bryant, 63, passed away on Wednesday August 13, 2025 in Denton.
Bruce was born December 7, 1961 in Fort Worth; one of 3 children to John Henry Bryant and Barbara (Burchfield) Bryant.
He graduated from Weatherford High School in 1980 and would go on to graduate from Texas State Technical Institute in Waco.
He started his career as a Machinist at General Dynamics. He later worked for many years for the company founded by his parents, The Bryants Company. Working alongside his wife Mechelle, and sister, Dana; they continued the legacy started by John and Barbara Bryant over 50 years ago.
Bruce had a big heart and was first in line to help others who needed a hand. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon.
He loved the outdoors, especially hunting with his sons. He enjoyed building and collecting guns. He also loved animals, most of all his "Truck Dog" Buddy.
He is preceded in death by his father, John Bryant.
Survivors include his wife, Mechelle Bryant; sons, Jake Bryant, Andrew Bryant and wife, Kasi, and Benjamin Bryant and wife, Chelsea; grandchildren, Caleb and David; his mother, Barbara Bryant; brother, Tony Bryant; sister, Dana Bryant and husband, Tommy Partain; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of extended family members and friends.
Visitation: 2:30-4:00pm Tuesday August 19 at Friendship Baptist Church in Weatherford.
A celebration of life will follow at 4:00pm with Dr. Mike Williams officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in Bruce's name, to the Friendship Baptist Church Food Bank.
