Bruce Gable Obituary

Virginia Beach - Bruce Clark Gable, 65, passed away November 19th, 2024 in his family home in Virginia Beach. He was born March 27th, 1959 to the late Billy and Barbara Gable. Bruce graduated from Kempsville High School in 1977 and started working at Corner Hardware in Kempsville for about 10 years. In 1987 he began his sales career working for Turf and Garden Inc. until he retired this past year, and was a major contributor to the firm's success. Bruce was an avid water sports enthusiast and could be found most weekends in his boat, fishing, water skiing and enjoying the outdoors. He also had a deep love for dogs. From the coon dogs of his childhood to his most recent rescued companions Hank, Maggie, Gracie, and Caesar, his dogs held a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his daughters, Ashley Barton of Portsmouth, Virginia and Karly Gable of Belvidere, North Carolina; 3 grandchildren, Cole Barton, Carter Stallings, and Molly Barton; sister Brenda Gable; brother Brent Gable and sister in law Liz Gable; as well as other relations and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Billy and Barbara Gable, and by his brother Barry Gable.
