VIENNA – Bruce Allen Gurney, 65, of Vienna, died Sunday, October 30th, 2022, at his home after an
illness.
He was born in Gardiner, Maine, on May 24th, 1957, the son of Ronald and Donna (Cameron) Gurney.
Bruce grew up in Chelsea and Randolph Maine and Graduated from Gardiner High School. He was a self-employed mechanic for most of his life. Bruce loved fishing, hunting, going to camp and being with his family and friends.
He was predeceased by his father Ronald Gurney Sr.
Bruce is survived by his significant other Bertha Hyde, his mother Donna (Cameron) Gurney, brothers Ronald Gurney Jr. and wife Anne, Jeff Gurney and wife Laura, his daughters Bonnie Bridgforth and her husband Jay, and Nicole Bickford, Bertha's sons, Chris Hyde and wife Danielle, Eugene Hyde and wife Kathleen, whom Bruce considered his sons.
Bruce is also survived by his grandchildren, Alicia, Nolan, Tyler, Seth, Zoey, Emily, Ryker, Lindsay, Landon and Madeline. As well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Bruce's life will be held on Saturday November 5th at noon at 267 Mills Road in Whitefield, Maine. All are welcome to attend who would like to celebrate Bruce's life and share stories with loved ones.
Arrangements are entrusted with Staples Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 53 Brunswick Avenue,
