Bruce Kunert, 74, of Sheboygan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.
Bruce was born on April 10, 1949, to Donald and Ruth (Zimmermann) Kunert in Sheboygan Falls. He graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1967. Bruce was united in marriage to Katherine Redensek on May 24, 1975. He retired from Kohler Co. after working as a production planner for many years.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls and enjoyed his Monday night Bible Study each week. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus as well as the Sheboygan Sudzzers.
Bruce was an avid bowler, golfer, and beer aficionado. He enjoyed attending beer festivals with Paul and camping with friends. Bruce loved spending time with his family and his many cats over the years. Any Friday night, he could be found at 8th Street Ale Haus, having fun with family and friends. He enjoyed his trips out to San Francisco to visit Amy and loved new experiences and trying new things.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kathy; children, Amy Kunert of San Fransico, CA, and Paul Kunert of Sheboygan; siblings, Bonnie Jones, Barry (Janel) Kunert, Bernard Kunert, Byron (Bonnie) Kunert, Bennett Kunert; sisters-in-law, Pat (Steve) Schmidt and Helen (Cam) Kath; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-laws, Victor and Eileen Redensek and brother-in-law, Al Redensek.
A memorial service will be held to celebrate Bruce’s life at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 4:00pm. All are welcome to join via livestream by visiting wenig.live/BruceKunert.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at church from 2:00pm until the time of service.
Memorials are appreciated in Bruce’s name to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
