Bruce Alan Lawrence, 84, of Delavan, MN, died peacefully in his sleep on June 3, 2025. Born on November 29, 1940 in Blue Earth, MN, he was a devoted husband to Kayla, and a loving father to Jodi, Wendy and Brian. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 9 at 11:00 AM at Hope United Methodist Church in Blue Earth, MN. Visitation will be at Patton Funeral Home in Blue Earth on Sunday, June 8 from 4-6 PM, and one hour before the service at the church. Inurnment will immediately follow the memorial service at Riverside Cemetery in Blue Earth, MN.
A lifelong resident of this area, Bruce had farming in his blood from the day he was born. He worked hard tending the land he loved, dedicating his life to providing for his family. Bruce was known for his unwavering work ethic and his generous spirit in the community as he served on several church and farming-related committees throughout his lifetime.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Kayla; Children Jodi (Bob) Tuthill, Wendy (Steve) Borchert, and Brian (Shannon) Lawrence; Grandchildren Travis (Amanda) Tuthill, Jeremy Alsaker, Lauren Alsaker, Brady (Chelsea) Lawrence. Step grandchildren Karissa Borchert, Mark (Jessica) Borchert, and Ashley Borchert (fiance Colin Hillmer); Great grandchildren Ronan, Treyton, and Alden Tuthill; Step great grandchild Ellis Flies; Sister Kathryn Frazee; as well as many dear friends and extended family members.
Bruce was preceded in death by infant daughter, Jacalyn; parents Virgil and Lila (Fenske) Lawrence; in-laws Lester and Dorothy (Kliendl) Arends; sister-in-laws Susi (Arends) Amundson and Marvis (Arends) Schipper; brother-in-laws Doug Schipper, Dick Holmseth and Terry Frazee.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Riverside Cemetery or Hope United Methodist Church.
