Bruce Wayne Maulding, 51, passed away at his home in Gonzales, Texas, on September 22, 2025. He was born on December 2, 1973, in Gonzales, Texas to Larry Wayne Maulding and Sally Ann (Koncaba) Maulding.

Bruce was the Eldest of 3 children. During his high school years, he was a state cross county winner and worked with his dad at the video store and at the Disciple Oaks Camp Retreat outside of Gonzales. He enjoyed traveling, camping, hiking, running and playing Magic the Gathering Cards. For numerous years he worked at Kerrville Bus Company. He had his own tour business, which he would do tours all over Texas. His last years he worked for the Capitol Area Council as a District Executive for Scouting America. To work with scouts and enriching family life made a lot of difference to him.

He was a member of the Saint James Catholic Church and Adult Foundation OCIA Class. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Noon Lions Club, the Rotary Club, Auxiliary of Memorial Hospital, Executive board member of COPE (Community Outreach People Empowerment), Gonzales Historical Commission, and the YMCA Gonzales board of directors.

He is survived by his wife Lorena de Jesus Villacorta Diaz joined together on May 13, 2017 and daughter Lauren Elizabeth Maulding of Gonzales; Mother Sally Ann (Koncaba) Maulding; sister Lori Ann Herries (Steve) of Schertz, Tx; and nephew Matthew Ward Herries of Schertz. He is preceded in death by his father Larry Wayne Maulding; sister Stephanie Ann Maulding; Grandparents Harmon Lee Maulding and Hellen Louise (Bowman) Maulding of Gonzales; Grandparents George Koncaba Sr. and Rose Marie (Zbranek) Koncaba of Hallettsville.

Visitation will be at St. James Catholic Church on Friday, October 3,2025 at 1:00p.m. A rosary will be recited with the Knights of Columbus at 1:30 pm, a funeral Mass following at 2 pm with Father Jason Martini as celebrant and Burial at St. James Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Lewis, Matthew Herries, Eduardo Sabillon, Charles Koncaba Jr., Dwayne Bethke, Bradley Bethke, Clinton Rothbauer, and Gabriel Flores
