I am just now finding out now of the passing of Bruce. My sympathy to the family and all that loved Bruce. He was an old and dear friend of my dad´s till his passing 5 years ago. They shared a love of politics and many other things in common. I would know when they got on the phone it was as always going to be a long conversation. Rest easy, Bruce.

Peter Kadzis: My memories of Bruce predate his stroke and I was among a tight circle of friends - Gregg Krupa, Richard Lupo, Time Kennedy - who kept him company as he recovered. Among the great passions of his life were jazz and Nancy Hart. Together they kept him centered and allowed him to live his life to its fullest. I lost touch with Bruce during COVID. And then I suffered a stroke of my own. I did reconnect about four months ago. And at least have the memory of his gruff voice. Peace, Bruce.

I met Bruce many years ago when I worked in City Hall. We became fast friends. I will remember Bruce for his brilliance in so many areas. He taught me about great food and even greater alcohol. We spent many nights hopping from Panache to Leo's to The Hot Club back in the day. His love for Miles Davis was contagious. His passion for the finer things will always be remembered. Rest in peace old friend.

Bruce and I met 33 years ago at a ravioli dinner hosted by a friend. As much as Bruce loved great food, few things ignited his appetite like politics. We were oil and water in this arena, so we made a pact to not "go there" in deference to the greater good of our relationship.
We shared many interests, art being a prime one. Wherever we traveled, museums topped our must-do list. Bruce got to see the Mona Lisa up close. The smile on his face outdid hers by miles.
After his stroke, Bruce fought hard to expand his world, not to shrink from it. He stayed on top of world news, but nothing meant more to him than the families and friends he loved deeply.
Today, St. Patrick's Day, brings memories of the priceless times we spent in Ireland, and how much Bruce loved being there. I am lucky to have shared many steps with Bruce, this man in full. I'll miss and remember him always.

Bruce was a wonderful friend to me and my entire family. He loved getting beautiful dresses for my daughters when they were little. And he was a wonderful addition to holiday dinners, always dressed impeccably and with his tweed flat cap. He told great stories and enjoyed his wine. He will be missed but forever remembered.
