Bruce A. Rivera, 64, of Factoryville died Friday March 14, 2025, at the Embassy of Tunkhannock. Born in Camden, NJ on July 18, 1960, the son of the late James Rivera, Barbara Ackerson and Step-Father Barry Mason. Bruce married the former Becky Britton on July 11, 1980.
After Bruce graduated from Lackawanna Trail High School in 1978, he joined The U.S. Airforce. His military career included assignments as a seismic technician at Patrick AFB Florida, a satellite technician stationed at Cape Cod Massachusetts and Colorado Springs, Colorado. He retired from service after 7 years at McGuire AFB, New Jersey as an instructor at the NCO academy. He enjoyed Bowling, ballroom dancing, also while at the Parkinson's gym he went to his Rock Steady boxing class. He was a member of The Church of the Epiphany, Glenburn.
Preceded in death by his sister Elise Rivera.
Surviving beside his wife Becky is a son Bradley Rivera and his companion Marie Whatley of Forest City; daughter Maurielle Rivera of Factoryville; two granddaughters Danielle and Katie, one brother, Jim Rivera of Northampton; three sisters, L.M. Pilar Rivera of Annville; Leslie Mason Moran of Scranton; Penny Mason Rekow of N, C.
Memorial Service will be Thursday March 20, 2025, at 4pm from Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes, Inc.33 Reynolds St. Factoryville with Rev. Michele Causton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2pm to 4pm.A Celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
