Bryant Wesley Strader, 85, of Reidsville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2025.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday September 13, 2025, at Mount Carmel Global Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Larsen officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:00 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
Bryant was born in Rockingham County to the late Herman Jett Strader Sr. and Annie Judy Alcorn Strader. He attended Ruffin High School and joined the NC National Guard shortly after. It was around this time he met a beautiful young lady from Rockingham, NC who would become his bride and our mother. Better known by many as Punkin, he loved to race, golf and find a way to make you laugh. He spent the better part of his working years as truck driver for Signal Delivery and Roadway. Even though he spent many nights away from his family, but he was always there for them, providing a home and everything they needed. Upon retirement, he and mom enjoyed traveling and spending time with their friends and family. He loved entertaining his grandchildren on his farm fishing and working in his garden.
Along with his parents, Bryant is preceded in death by his loving wife of 64 years, Sarah Bryant Strader; his sisters Marie McClintock and Juanita Sparks; his brothers Herman Jett Strader Jr, Harold Lee Strader, Wesley Martin Strader, and his twin brother of two months Benjamin Franklin Strader.
Bryant is survived by his three sons, Greg (Wendy), Wes (Meredith) and Ben (Becki); grandchildren, Bryant Strader, Cole Strader (Tammi), Samuel Strader (Kara), Reilly Strader, Merrick Michaels (Alyssa), Wesley A. Strader, (Maggie) Adam Strader, Lyndsey Strader Damon (Levi), Reagan Michaels (Maggie), Peyton Michaels (Anna), Claire Strader Burns (Luke), Landon Strader, Jake McTague, Alexandra Strader and Grace Strader; great grandchildren, Liberty Hitzges, America Hitzges, Lincoln Michaels and Ruth Damon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ruffin Stacey Baptist Church.
