Brycen Myles Doughty

Brycen Myles Doughty passed away unexpectantly during his Brave journey with cancer on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at Norton Children's Hospital. Brycen recently graduated from Eastern High School as an Eagle Award Recipient and was a member of multiple basketball families, including the Eastern Eagles.
Brycen was always a strong witness of strength, faith, and courage. He moved mountains and hearts all over the world with the resilience he showed through every moment of his life. While Brycen's time on Earth was limited to 18 years, his life will live on forever in the people he inspired and the love he shared. His laughter will be heard in the laughter of others, his smile seen in the smiles of countless faces, and his love felt for generations to come. Brycen was blessed with a perfect heart. He will forever be a hero, a warrior, and one of one. May he Fly High Forever! May we always B Brave & Brycen Strong!
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Saundra Sue Cash.
Left to cherish Brycen's precious memory are his loving parents Marty and Rachel Doughty; his brother Shane Doughty (Taylor Adams); sisters Shelby Doughty (Javon Davis) and Breauna Johnson (Nick Johnson); love of his life Norah Poppell.
Visitation for Brycen will be from 2 pm to 8 pm on Thursday, July 11, at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home Jeffersontown, 10600 Taylorsville Road, and from 10 am until 12 Noon on Friday, July 12, at Southeast Christian Church Chapel in the Woods, 1407 Moser Rd. His funeral will be at 12 Noon on Friday, July 12 at the Chapel after visitation.
