Bud Gorby, age 85, of Greenville, formerly of Fruitport, passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2021. The son of Lyle & Lucille (Johnson) Gorby, he was born on April 29, 1936 in Kent City.

In 1957, he married Ella Mae Manley. Bud worked most of his life as a Ford mechanic and in utility construction.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Carl Gorby; and a grandson, Barry Allan.

Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Ella Mae Gorby; two daughters, Trudy & Tom Wakeley of Orleans, and Kari & Duane Burton of Greenville; a son, Steve Gorby of Oregon; ten grandchildren, Eric VanKuiken, Vincent & Kate Gorby, Angel Gorby, Von Gorby, Chad & Ashley Wakeley, Amanda Wakeley, Kyle & Jen Suchecki, Kevin Suchecki, Keith Suchecki, and Ken Suchecki; ten great-grandchildren, Kynzie & Caleb Usher, Kayden, Jacob, McKenzie, Kolton, Alyssa, Mason, Brooke, Auburn, and Vinney; one great-great-grandson, John; his sister, Betty Bruin, his brother, Mel & Leta Gorby; sisters-in-law, Jeanne Fisher, and Cheryl & Ray Coniff; brothers-in-law, Joel Manley, and Robert Fowle.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bud's life from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Solon Township Hall, 15185 Algoma Avenue N.E., Cedar Springs.
