Buddy Dykes

Buddy LeBron Dykes, 58, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 16, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on February 16, 1967, Buddy was the son of the late Bud Dykes and Wanda Baggett Dykes, who survives him. From an early age, Buddy's world revolved around family - a value that remained the center of his life. He was a devoted husband, father, son, and "Papaw" whose greatest joy came from the laughter of his children and grandchildren.
Buddy loved life's simple pleasures - fishing on a quiet morning, traveling with those he loved, and gathering around the table for a home-cooked meal or a lively game of Uno. He was also a passionate Alabama football fan, always ready with a proud "Roll Tide!"
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Dykes; his son, Cody Dykes; his daughter, Brandy (Jason) Clark; his stepdaughter, Alicia Hickman; his sisters, Theresa (Gary) Bowers, and Connie (Corky) Flerl; four cherished grandchildren; one adored great-grandson; and his faithful granddogs, Penny and Benji.
Buddy was welcomed into heaven by his father, Buddy Dykes, his brother, Tony Dykes, and his nephew, Stevie Elrod.
Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Buddy's life on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Legacy Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed by a service at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Melvin Walker and Rev. Troy Simmons officiating.
