He was born July 31,1943, in Flat Rock, Alabama to Guss and Mamie Dunn.
Buel worked as a truck driver for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Maggie Dunn; his parents, Guss and Mamie Dunn; sister, Cora Dunn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy Jones, Josephine and Bill Gray, Eula and Clyde Morton, Beatrice and Curtis Loner, Edna and Cecil Hall, Deli and Wilburn Jones; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Pansy Dunn; brother, Gurvis Dunn; brothers-in-law, Bob Campbell, David Jackson, Charlie Jackson; sister-in-law, Monteen Jackson Walker.
Buel is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cindy (Mack) Davis; son and daughter-in-law, Ron (Jeri) Dunn; granddaughters, Maredith (Colton)Woods, Spenser Dunn, Emory (Wolf) Hemby; great-granddaughters Alydia and Rollins Woods; sister, Sybil Campbell; sister-in-law, Elaine Jackson Ross; brother-in-law, George Jones; special cousin, Dudley Hancock. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at the Rocky Face Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Matt Baxter and Mike Beason officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Rocky Face chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
