Burl Wayne Estes, 79, of Geneva, KY passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at Lexington V.A. Hospital. Born on July 18, 1946 in Danville, KY to the late Lawrence and Roberta Coffman Estes.

Burl served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War, stationed in Guam and was with the B52 Bomber crew. After his service, he fueled his love for the road by becoming a truck driver for most of his life. Burl also owned a bike shop in Indianapolis, where he shared his enthusiasm for motorcycles with others. He also owned and operated a body shop in Geneva, KY. In his leisure time, Burl was an avid fisherman and boater. He was also a member of Geneva Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving wife, Anna MacWhithey Estes; step-son, Michael Malicote (Belinda); two step-grandchildren, Braiden Malicote and Jaxon Malicote; five sisters, Judy Shaw, Valerie Trees (Floyd), Ileta Schuab, Debbie Eldridge and Twyla White (Mike); and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Joanne Estes; and parents, Lawrence and Roberta Estes.

Visitation will be on Monday, September 1, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home in Stanford, KY. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Yocum officiating. Burial will follow at New Salem Cemetery in Hustonville, KY.
