Buster Nicholas, 92, of Plainview and formerly of Olton, died Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in Olton. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Olton Cemetery, with Mr. David Pinkerton officiating and under the care of Ramage Funeral Directors. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, 2025, at Ramage Funeral Directors in Olton.

Buster was born July 16, 1933, in Olton, Texas, to Buck and Martha (Thurmond) Nicholas. He grew up farming and was a proud farmer most of his life. For the last 15 years, he worked at McCoy's in Plainview, where customers loved him and he enjoyed visiting with them daily.

On December 14, 1951, he married Shirley Anne Dennis in Olton. In 1992, they moved to Plainview from Olton. Buster was a member of Northwest Church of Christ in Plainview. He also enjoyed tinkering with carpentry work.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Anne Nicholas of Plainview; two daughters, Susan Hall of Lubbock and Sharla Harrelson and husband Jordan of Austin; and four sisters, Peggy Carson of Olton, Joyce Hardy, Sylvia Perkins, and Gayle Nicholas, all of Waxahachie. He was blessed with five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be made to PAWS Pet Adoption of Plainview, P.O. Box 1605, Plainview, Texas 79073.
