Byron Leslie Clanton

Byron Leslie Clanton of Cedar Hill, Missouri, was born June 5, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri to J.C. and Marion (nee Moser) Clanton and entered into rest Friday, September 26, 2025 in Cedar Hill, Missouri at the age of 79 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Marion (nee Moser) Clanton; siblings, Jackie Swanson and Alan Clanton.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Terry (Peggy) Clanton; special friends, Peggy and Jake Schroeder and their family, Kim Wothing, and his Paisano's and Pegg's work family; along with numerous other extended family and cherished friends.
Les was a true gentleman whose life was filled with music, hard work, and love for the outdoors. He had a gift for playing guitar and was a proud member of The Clanton Band, sharing his passion for music with others. He also found peace in fishing and being surrounded by nature. A Vietnam veteran, Les showed strength and dedication both in service and in his community. Alongside his father and brothers, he owned and operated donut shops, later spending 22 years delivering pizzas at Pegg's on the Boulevard, where he was well known and well loved. His life reflected the heart of a successful businessman and the kindness of a gentleman who left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
