C. Morgan Haymond, age 68 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025 in the Intensive Care Unit at the United Hospital Center at Bridgeport, WV following a brief illness. He was born October 22, 1956 at Buckhannon, WV a son of the late John Gilbert Haymond and the late Zela Maye Morris Haymond. On August 17, 1985 in Buckhannon, he was married to the former Debra Kay Channell who survives in Elkins. Also surviving is one daughter, Andrea Morgan Green and husband David of Christiansburg, VA; three brothers, John Haymond of Buckhannon and wife Penny, Timothy Haymond, Mt. Jackson, VA. and partner Kelly and Marshell Haymond of Rock Cave, WV and wife Elizabeth. Two grandsons, Theodore "Theo" Parker and Dominic Morgan Green also survive. Morgan attended the schools of Upshur County, Glenville State, West Virginia Wesleyan, and Davis & Elkins Colleges. He was employed in the Oil and Gas Industry for many years. Morgan was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and a Trustee of the Elkins-Randolph County Public Library Board as well as a long serving Library Board Member. He was also a longtime member of the American Association of Professional Landmen. Cremation will take place and services will be announced at a later date. The family request that contributions be made to SkyHopePals, 7110 Republic Airport, 2nd Floor, Farmingdale, NY 11735 or [email protected] in memory of Morgan.
