C. David Krewson of Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA died on March 4, 2025 at age 90. He was a lifelong resident of Bucks County and of Newtown, PA from 1941 unti l 2016 when he and his wife Jane moved to Garden Spot Village. He was a graduate of Council Rock High School Class of 1952, Dickenson College Class of 1956 and Temple University School of Law Class of 1958. He practiced law in Newtown for nearly his entire career during which he was an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Bucks County Bar Association and its President in 1978. During his career he was solicitor to a variety of Bucks County municipalities including Newtown Township and Newtown Borough.
He was active, while a Newtown resident, in a number of civic organizations including as Charter President of the Newtown Jaycees. He was a past member of the Newtown Lions and Newtown Exchange Clubs. He was a 32° Scottish Rite Mason. He was also a past board member of the Board of Directors of the Newtown Library Company. He was also an active member for over 60 years of the Newtown Presbyterian Church and one of its elders as well as a choir member for over 50 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in its Counter intelligence Corps at the Pentagon during the years of the Cold War.
His passions included not only his family and many treasured friends, but also golf, music, gardening and his 1941 Lincoln Continental antique car. He was a member and officer of the Philadelphia Region of the Lincoln Continental Owners Club.
He is survived by his son Thomas and partner Stephen McGrane of Califon, NJ as well as brother and sister-in-law, James A. and Hilde L. Krewson of Harleysville, PA and several nieces and nephews. His wife Jane Elizabeth Sipes and son Garret John predeceased him.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Garden Spot Village, 433 S Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, PA 17557.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Newtown Presbyterian Church, 25 N Chancellor Street, Newtown, PA 18940. A private interment will follow.
Swartz-Givnish Funeral Home in Newtown, PA is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
