Originally from Louisa County, Virginia, recently of Braddock, age 63, died on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.
Devoted father of Tanika Horton of Penn Hills, Dannielle Horton of OH, Chyna Horton, Calvin Horton, Jr and Shakira Horton, all of Butler.
Precious son of Lorraine Horton King (late Thomas King) and the late James Horton, Sr.
Treasured grandfather of Ezzard Thomas, Daenya Bivins, Tamar Bivins, Karter Embry and Jayla Horton.
Brother of Gloria Horton of Braddock and the late James "Lucky" Horton (late Leslie McGarrity).
Uncle of Tynise Horton, Leticia (Van) Davis, LaTonya (Marquita) Hart and Tyrell Wyche and a host of grandnieces and grandnephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calvin was a 1977 graduate of General Braddock High School and entered the US Marine Corps upon graduation. He was a Certified Nursing Assistant and was employed many years at the Jewish Home in Squirrel Hill before retiring. Calving was a gregarious, outgoing person who loved to laugh and make others smile. He would be the life of the party and center-of-attention at any gathering. Calvin always made his family feel the utmost and real love. He will be deeply missed by all, especially his cherished grandchildren.
Friends are welcome on Friday, June 17, from 12-4 pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350 where a Funeral Service will be held at 4pm.
Calvin will be laid to rest in Monongahela Cemetery.
