Candy became my friend in 3rd grade at Lincoln elementary school in Decatur, Indiana. We knew each other through our entire school days, graduating in 1966. We were in Band and Choir together. We lost touch but met again about 15 years ago when I would visit my Mother in Decatur.
We spoke on the phone just a few weeks ago, she was concerned about the fires in LA and wanted to know how close I was to them.
Bless her, a true friend!
