Candy Stafko, 83 of Port Orange, FL, formerly of Royalton, IL passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2024.
Candy was born on January 29, 1941, in Winchester, TN, to Oakley and Rena Lucille (Roberson) Clark. She was united in marriage to Mickey Lee Stafko.
Candy had relocated to Florida in March, 2018 to be closer to her daughter Vicki Stafko and her sister Linda Vanwyck and brother-in-law Wilbur Vanwyck.
Candy enjoyed many outings with Linda and Wilbur. They visited many locations sharing the beauty and history of the state of Florida. Candy enjoyed watching the many birds in the area with her favorite being the Ibis which she watched from the windows of her apartment. She enjoyed seeing the manatees and other wildlife at the nearby springs. Candy loved to walk in the sunshine and strolled many times on the beach and river with her daughter Vicki.
Candy loved her pizza and ice cream. Many outings were to partake in the many pizza places and ice cream shops in the area. Her favorite ice cream was vanilla with strawberries and bananas. She never needed a reason to enjoy her special treat.
Candy made many friends. Her personality was always positive and many commented on her sense of humor and smile, stating that it would light up a room. Her friends knew her to kind, friendly and caring. She will be missed dearly by her friends and family.
Candy is survived by her two daughters, Micki Stafko and Vicki Stafko; grandchild, Bailey Stafko-Cox; sister, Linda Vanwyck and brother-in-law Wilbur Vanwyck.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, parents; several brothers and
sisters.
Private family service will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Royalton Civic Pride at First Southern Bank or 311 N. Main Street, Royalton, IL or Halifax Health-Hospice, Fund Development at 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
