Carder Doss Pool, a beloved husband, son, and brother, passed away on Friday, October 24, 2025, in Lubbock at the age of 22. He was born on December 10, 2002, in Jourdanton, Texas. Growing up in Andrews, Carder was a four-year varsity letterman in golf and voted Mr. AHS. A proud alumnus of Texas Tech University, Carder graduated with a Degree in General Business on August 9, 2025, and was continuing his education in the Master’s Program for Financial Planning. He was currently working for Jenkins & Young, P.C. in Lubbock, where he contributed his talents and work ethic. An avid lover of the outdoors, Carder cherished moments spent hunting and fishing.
In September of 2023, Carder met his future wife, Aniah High, at the Texas Tech Library. They shared a love of education and as their friendship blossomed, the couple married on August 19, 2025. Together they have been devoted dog parents to Moose and Pip.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Aniah; parents, Darren and Tina Pool of Odessa; sisters, Ryann Phillips and husband Justin and their children, Beckett and Brielle of Andrews and Erynn Pool of Odessa; great-uncle, Jerry Shiever and wife Susan and their daughter Caron of Austin; uncles, Perry O. Pool and wife Deirdre of Andrews and Terry Pool and wife Patricia of Splendora; in-laws, Will and Christeena McGowan of Amarillo; as well as numerous cousins, family and friends who loved him dearly.
Carder is preceded by his grandparents, Linda James and Perry Bob and Barbara Pool.
For family and friends in the Permian Basin area, memorial services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 31, 2025 at Crossroads Church in Odessa.
For family and friends in the Lubbock area, funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, November 3, 2025 at Combest Family Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
