Carl Lee Doss

Carl Lee Doss, 73, passed away March 27, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born July 13, 1950 to Herman Don and Nettie Lou (Chaffee) Doss in Oklahoma City. He graduated from US Grant High School in 1968, then went on to attend Oklahoma State University where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business in 1972.
Carl was a proud veteran of the US Navy. Upon his release in 1975, he began courting the love of his life, Linda Lou Foster. They were married September 4, 1976. On Father's Day, 1977, Carl became a father to their son, Joseph. In April, 1980, they welcomed a beautiful daughter, Angela, and their family was complete.
Carl was vice president of Crossroads State Bank and worked as an auditor for the State Insurance Fund, which became CompSource Oklahoma. He was an active member of Council Road Baptist Church where he served as an adult Sunday School teacher and sang in the church choir. He was interested in genealogy and was a member of Doss Family Association. Carl also enjoyed photography and horses and was an avid gardener, specializing in beautiful varieties of irises.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Charlotte Bellah and her husband James. He is survived by his wife, Linda Doss; son, Joseph Doss; daughter, Angela Doss; brother, Don Doss and wife Jennifer; nephew, Greg Bellah and wife Jennifer; niece, Jessica Powell, her husband Jeff and family; niece, Jadyn Doss; grandnephew, Kyle Bellah, his wife Amber and family; and grandniece, Allyson Radomski, her husband Riley and family.
Viewing will be Sunday, April 7, 11am-8pm with family present from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be at 2:00pm, Monday, April 8 in the Chapel of Council Road Baptist Church, Bethany, OK with interment to follow in Resthaven Cemetery.
