Carl Dean Findley, 68, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita from injuries suffered in a tragic motorcycle accident. He was born October 16, 1956, in Coffeyville, KS, the son of Herbert E. and Edna Ann (Rhinehart) Findley. He grew up in Coffeyville and graduated from Field Kindley High School there in 1974. He attended several colleges before earning is Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Pittsburg State University. Throughout his career, he worked in a wide variety of positions at Farmland Industries, CVR Energy at Coffeyville, and Wolf Creek Generating Station in Burlington, KS. He was Vice President of Human Resources at CVR Energy in Sugar Land, TX, and later moved to Wichita where he was currently Senior Manager of Human Resources for HF Sinclair Refinery in El Dorado, KS. He was married to Joy Owen and they became the parents of two sons. They were later divorced. On July 4, 2013, he and Kelly Marie (Allen) Ledom were married in Nassau, Bahamas. He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Findley. He leaves his wife, Kelly; his children, Seth Findley (Brynn) and their children Roscoe and Maeve of Prairie Village, KS, Andrew Findley (Abby) and their children Miles, Calvin and Henry of Elkhart, IN, Sydney (Ledom) Spencer (Ben) of LeRoy, KS, and their children Raelynn and Emersyn, and Allyson (Ledom) Breshears (Tyson) of Eudora, KS, and their children Remington and Lincoln; his mother, Ann Findley, Coffeyville, KS; his brother, Tony Findley (Jo), Evansville, IN; his sister, Linda Sue Bynum, Coffeyville, KS; a number of nieces and nephews; many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held 1:30 P.M. Monday, June 16, 2025, at the Burlington Methodist Church, Burlington, KS. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery at Burlington.
