Carl Sabourin

"Little C"
Best friend and much-loved husband of Mae suddenly passed away on February 14, 2025 and drove one of his beloved 50's cars into the "Wild Blue Yonder" of Heaven. He always was a speeder.
Carl was born on September 19, 1941 to Joseph and Elinor (Nee Reichard) Sabourin. He was born as one of a set of twins, sister Carol. He was a brother to his "best friend" to Leo (Avis), Joe, Mary Ann and Marlin who all survive him. Dear uncle to many much-loved nieces and nephews.
His years were filled with happy days with this '56 Ford Crown Victoria and later with his '51 Ford Convertible "Born to Cruise". He loved his 50's music which he played day and night. I might add ALL night. He ran car shows at the Music Box in Milwaukee for 20 years and helped start the "Hot Rods on Hampton" Car Show in Butler.
He belonged to the "Nostalgic Car Club" for more that 40 years and was the "roaming" host at all of our 50's dances at the Schwabenhof Ballroom in Menomonee Falls for over 20 years.
He also chauffeured Henry Winkler aka "The Fonz" around all day in 2008 when his statue was placed on the riverbank in downtown Milwaukee.
We traveled all around the midwest in our cars and had many, many wonderful memories and met many friends along our travels.
Carl retired from Briggs and Stratton and worked with his friend Dick who owned a t-shirt printing business along with Joe for many years.
We had a wonderful life together for 47 years and with his many health issues he is now exploring his new adventure in heaven. I and our 5 mini schnauzers that we had through the years, will miss him terribly but know that is at peace now and I'm sure he is talking to someone at a car show in heaven.
