Carl Anthony Venson, 63, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away on December 21, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on July 4, 1961, in Eufaula, he was the son of Joe Eddie and Mary (Lowe) Venson. Carl graduated from Eufaula High School and dedicated his life to his work as a chef. He was a devoted member of the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church.
Carl leaves behind a loving family, including his sons, Geoffery Carl Venson and Jon Mann of Eufaula. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe Eddie Venson Jr. and wife Janice of Tulsa, Gary Venson of Eufaula, and Jerry Venson of Eufaula. His sisters hold fond memories of their time together: Charlene Johnson of Tulsa, Sherry Williams of Garland, TX, Berlinda Cunningham of Eufaula, Nora Ballard and husband William of Tulsa, and Tina Alexander and husband Jerry of Eufaula. He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Glenda McCormick, and a host of cherished nieces and nephews. Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mary Venson, and his brother, Ray McCormick.
A funeral service celebrating Carl's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at the Sulphur Springs Baptist Church, with Reverend Jerry Alexander officiating. Following the service, Carl will be laid to rest at the Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Hunn, Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
