Carl L. Wiedle, 84, of Shattuc passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Breese Nursing Home. He was born on June 25, 1937, the son of Lewis and Helen (Heinrich) Wiedle in Shattuc. He married the love of his life, Nancy Bartram on December 9, 1962, in Salem and she preceded him in death on November 1, 2020.
Survivors include his beloved family, daughters, Diane Cole and husband Dan of Centralia, and April Schulte of New Baden; cherished grandchildren, Tyson Cole of St. Louis, and Rachel Schulte of New Baden.
Along with his beloved wife of 57 years Nancy Wiedle, Carl was preceded in death by both his parents Lewis and Helen Wiedle.
Mr. Wiedle was a member of the United Methodist Church in Shattuc. He valued his work as a farmer of both dairy and grain. He owned 2 antique tractors and always stayed true to the John Deere brand. Carl lived a simple life, making sure to respect others and do right by his family.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022, at the East Lawn Cemetery in Salem with John Willis officiating. Memorials may be made in Carl's honor to the Breese Nursing Home or the Alzheimer's Association.
