Carl "Junior" Wright Jr.

It's with a very heavy heart the family of Carl Wright "Junior" announces that on Tuesday July the 16, 2024, Junior departed this life and entered Gods Kingdom. Carl Jr. was born on August 17, 1967, to Carl Wright Sr and Audrey Wright.
He is survived by his loving mother Audrey Boor {Rick}, daughter, Jessica Wright; sisters, Penny Sipes {Andy} and Ann Blye {Ricky} and stepbrother, Mike Boor {Kim}. Junior is also survived by his aunts Betty Boyer, Bonne Anderson {Tommy} and Mary Hawkins {Woody}; he also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many friends. He also leaves behind his special fur baby, his little buddy Binx.
Junior was a very kind and gentle man. He lived a very simple and private life. He cared deeply for his mother and his family and friends, and that kindness was shown during the illness of two of his best friends. He took it on himself to take care of and provide comfort for his friends during their terminal illness.
Junior was an equipment operator for Atlas Plumbing and prided himself on doing the best job possible. He shared photos and talked about some of the difficult utilities he had installed. He was proud of the work he did and loved to share his day's work experience with us.
As most of you know he was a lover of Ford Mustangs and of course high-performance engines. The first car he had at a young age was a Cobra Mustang. Was nothing to see two or three of his mustangs setting in the driveway at one time, he literally loved to ride and show off his cars. They were always cleaned and polished as the day they left the factory.
Junior was preceded in death by his Father Carl Wright Sr. his stepmother Debbie Wright and his Nephew Derek Blye.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Lynchburg & Omps Funeral Home of Winchester. A memorial service will be held at Omps Funeral Home on Amherst Street in Winchester on Tuesday July 23rd at 2:00pm. Family will receive visitation one hour prior to the memorial service. Pastor David Blevins will be officiating the memorial service. A celebration of Junior's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
