Our dear mother, Carlene Thomas, age 69, of North Port, FL, sadly passed away on November 8, 2023. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. She also had many friends and was well-loved by her customers at Patches Restaurant. She lived for her boys, and loved spending time with her family. She also loved and cherished her flower bed and watching the flowers bloom. Carlene was born in Plainfield, NJ on May 29, 1954 to Albert and Anne Renk. She moved to North Port from Nokomis in 2001.
Surviving family members include her sons, Michael Thomas and Kevin Thomas, both of North Port; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albertt and Anne Renk; sister Marie Vanderstel; and brother Albert Renk.
Visitation will be at Farley Funeral Home, North Port on Saturday, November 18 from 1-2 pm. The funeral service will begin at 2:00.
