Carlisle Edwards, infant son of James Todd and Kara Johnston Edwards, was fearfully and wonderfully made and knitted by the LORD in his mother's womb. He spent his entire life therein before his delivery on Friday, October 11, 2024.
His memory will be cherished in the hearts of his parents and his siblings, Nora Emmaline, Logan Americus, Sawyer James, and Rose Romaine Edwards; maternal grandparents, Thomas Logan and Melinda Waybright Johnston of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; paternal grandparents, James Lewis and Anne Reed Edwards of Laurens, South Carolina; aunts and uncles, Kristin and William Ford, Brett and Allison Johnston, and Kimberly and Paul Smith all of Pennsylvania, Lewis Reed Edwards, and Suzanne and Ramon Vargas all of South Carolina; numerous cousins and other loving family members. Carlisle was predeceased by his aunt, Rebecca Lynn Edwards.
Grace Baptist Church of Taylors at 5020 Old Spartanburg Road will host a memorial service for Carlisle on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 6:15 p.m. with a gathering of friends and family following.

Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
