Carlo Lewis Minopoli Sr, age 92, of Bridgeport, met his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at the Carolton Convalescent Home, surrounded by loving family and friends. He was the beloved husband of his late wife, Joan C. (Macciocca) Minopoli. Carlo leaves behind five children, whom he was devoted to his entire life: Carlo Minopoli Jr. and wife Doreen, Elizabeth Paris and husband Dmitri, Albert Minopoli and fiancée Stephanie Visconte, Mary Faulkner and husband Al, and John Minopoli Sr. and wife Dawn. In addition, Carlo had 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren that brought tremendous pride and joy to his life, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his younger sister, Ann Marie. Carlo was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during the Korean Conflict aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hornet. He worked as a carpenter and locksmith for the University of Bridgeport, where he was an active member of the Union. After his retirement, he worked and volunteered for St. Raphael's parish, where his skills as a craftsman were put to good use. He was a member and Catchiest of the Neocatechumenal Way for 47 years. His devotion to faith and family was inspiring to many. Carlo was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Isabella Minopoli, and older brother Ralph. Friends may call on Thursday October 30th, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at St. Raphael Church, Bridgeport. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, October 31st, at 10:00 am directly in St. Raphael Church, 162 Oak St., (on the corner of Center St and Frank St), Bridgeport. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the family.
