It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carlos Hernandez, 52, on August 29, 2025, in Plainview, TX. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Bartley Memorial Chapel. Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at 3:00 PM at Plainview Cemetery in Plainview, TX. Funeral arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home of Plainview, Texas.

Carlos was born on September 1, 1972, to Catarino Hernandez and Adelida Villalovos. He married Shannon Harrison on February 17, 2010, in Odessa, TX.

Carlos was lovingly remembered by his family as an exceptional son, husband, father, and grandfather. A devoted Dallas Cowboys fan, he cherished his loved ones above all else. As his health declined, Carlos found comfort in the presence of his family and wished to be surrounded by them when his time came to join the Lord. His unwavering faith was evident in his daily devotion to reading the Bible.

Carlos is preceded in death by his father, Catarino Hernandez Sr., and his brothers, Catarino Hernandez Jr. and Ricardo Hernandez.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Shannon Hernandez; his mother, Adelida Villalovos; his children, Carlos Hernandez Jr., Caezar Hernandez, Caylee Hernandez and Cassandra Hernandez; his brothers, Roberto "Bobby" Hernandez and Danny Hernandez; and four grandchildren. Plus, numerous nieces and nephews.
