It is with great sadness that we announce Earnest "Earnie" Clay Camp met his Heavenly Father on August 26, 2025, in Lubbock, Texas. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Celebration Christian Center in Lubbock, TX with Dr. David Lance officiating. Arrangements are under the supervision of Bartley Funeral Home and Prairie View Crematory of Plainview.

Earnie was born on November 20, 1944, in Pampa, TX, to Vernon Earl and Mary Ruth (Willson) Camp.

He honorably dedicated himself to his country in the Naval Air Force, earning the prestigious National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal in recognition of his exemplary service.

Earnie married the love of his life, Jeanette, on June 4, 1997, in Lubbock, TX. He was remembered by his loved ones as a devoted and faithful man. Earnie deeply loved his Lord and was an active member and deacon at Celebration Christian Center in Lubbock, TX.

Earnie was a highly skilled diesel mechanic who was passionate about his work. He also loved running and participated in a fundraising marathon for Habitat for Humanity, an event known as "Earnie Builds A House."

Earnie is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon Earl and Mary Ruth Camp; his two brothers, James Earl Camp and Douglas Carlton Camp.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Jeanette Camp of Lubbock, TX, his stepdaughter, Deborah Johnson (husband – Daleth) of Weatherford, TX, and his sister, Paula Robinson and (husband – Lester) of Brownwood, TX.
