Carl was an inspiration for all of us who worked beside him at the Hampton VA's PSTD clinic. Calm, steady, and centered, he was always there for the Veterans he served and for the team he inspired to be their best in the challenging work of helping war torn Veterans. He will be greatly missed.

Carlson Pendleton , was one in the few that really cared, and he seemed to understand what the combat vet had to deal with and what post war is about.

Carl was one of a kind. Carl, Dr. Marinell Miller and I worked closely together for years at the Hampton VAMC in the PTSD Clinic. I got the chance to see Carl up close and personal and saw his work ethic, dedication, and commitment to helping Veterans. He was very skilled at what he did, and it was undeniable how much he was admired and respected by Veterans and his coworkers. He was smart and funny, but he was also no nonsense. My deepest condolences to Sarah and the family on the loss of a good man. Carl is gone but he is not forgotten.

Carl was the ultimate professional. His roles as social worker, teacher, mentor, and colleague will always be a memory I cherish. He helped hundreds of our veterans during his tenure at the Hampton VAMC. He was truly one of the most selfless individuals that I have ever had the pleasure and honor to work with. My deepest condolences to his family.
Respectfully Larry Strauss (fellow veteran and colleague)
