Carmella Sassi

Carmella Sassi, age 74, of Carneys Point, NJ passed away on July 28, 2023. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Carmella was the daughter of the late John Michael Carfagno and Rellie (Eldridge) Carfagno Dallenbach. Carmella was what some may call a well-rounded woman. Not only was she a hard working individual, she was also a devoted wife and mother to her children. When Carmella wasn't busy with work at the Roman Pantry, she would be spending time with her family. She was big in supporting them through all of their ventures, most of all wrestling. Through it all she managed to always be her family's number one supporter. Even in her later years, Carmella continued on with that love and devotion as her family started to grow with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carmella's adoration of her family knew no limit.
Carmella is survived by her stepfather Bruce Dallenbach; her sons Richard D. Sassi, Sr. and his wife Tammy of Pennsville, Mark Sassi and his wife Kimberly of Pennsville and Kevin Sassi and his wife Rachel of Rotonda West, FL; her grandchildren Alexis, Stacey, Jimmy, Ricky Jr., Justin, Caitlin, Jennifer, Courtney, Kayla, Samantha, John, Summer and Ariana; her great grandchildren Beriah, Braiden, Bristol, Jordan, Adrian, Daron, Ricky III, Kash, Skylar, Teaghan, Haisley, Rhyland, Kamryn, Giovanni and Mark; her siblings John Carfagno and his wife Janice of Runnemede, James Carfagno and his wife Donna of Carneys Point, Joseph Carfagno and his wife Maria of Cinnaminson, Anthony Carfagno and his wife Ginger of Pennsville, Michael Carfagno and his wife Michelle of Gloucester and Randy Dallenbach and his wife Sherry of Cape May; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Richard C. Sassi.
Services will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Adams Funeral Home, 64 Broad Street, Woodstown, NJ 08098. There will be a visitation starting at 10 AM leading to the funeral service at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Eglington Cemetery in Clarksboro.
