Carmen G. Compton, 65, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at her home. She served in the U.S. Navy. She was a Lab Technician at Technidyne Corporation and worked at the Jeffersonville Public Library. She was a member of Christ Gospel Church, Return Ministries, and Seven Pillars Church.
Carmen loved knitting, she knitted baby clothes for many of her family members. She looked after everyone, especially her family. She held the family together through a lot of tough times and was always considered the one to turn to.
She is survived by her son Michael Hippert of Jeffersonville, IN; daughter Sandra Lee Kidd of Clarksville, IN; sister Cheryl L. Lykens of Chippewa Falls, WI; brothers Othniel G. Curtis of Hardinsburg, KY, Earl Curtis of WI, Lieu R. Curtis of Inwood, WV, and David B. Curtis of Ovett, MS.
She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Joyce Curtis.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at E.M. Coots' Sons Funeral Home with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the service.
