Carmen Margaret Ihlenfeldt (Lundholm) led an inspiring and remarkable life, full of resilience, compassion and determination. Carmen had a strong spirit, was resourceful and efficient. She had pride in her work, vehicles, feminine figure, and fashion. She was adventurous and loved to drive whether it was through sharing rides, volunteering to transport others, or just a drive with a friend. She loved to go, go, go. Carmen's bold, confident and adventurous spirit made her a unique and influential figure. We always knew where we stood with Carmen, she a feisty woman who was not one to hold back. She was confident and owned her decision making whether it was right or not. She focused on the present and future, and not the past.
Carmen graduated from Chisago Lakes High School and a long-time resident of Chisago County. A nominee for MN Businesswomen of the Year for Hennepin County, MN in the 1980s. She was recognized for women in executive positions and women with honorable work ethic.
Carmen worked at MN School of Business as the Placement Director until a merger. After that, she had to reinvent and restructure her career and retirement. She went back to college and received a Bachelor of Science degree and became a counselor at the Lino Lakes MN State Prison until her retirement.
Carmen was preceded in death by her kind and gentle husband Bill Ihlenfeldt, her parents George Manfred Lundholm & Margaret Mona (Stevens) Lundholm Reed, stepmother Ethelyn Hanna Lundholm (Nelson), her three siblings: younger brothers Ronald Manford Lundholm and George Manfred Lundholm Jr., and younger sister Mary Ellen Lundholm, her eldest son Terrance Roy (TR) Jr. her daughter Vikky Machelle Roy and step daughter Susan Ihlenfeldt.
Survivors include her youngest son, Brett Roy, her grandchildren Terrance Roy, Kelby Roy (Amanda) and Nichole Bartels; great grandchildren Andrew and Savannah Bartels, Nathan Kleidon, Adeley, Maizie, Lenex Roy and William Roy. She will be loved forever by her significant other, Don Peterson, special friends Rhonda Sacket (Lorenz) and her former daughter-in-law and friend, DeAnn Kleidon who is so thankful to have been by her side when she passed. Bill's children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren. Her extended family DeAnn and husband Brad, their children Troy and Trent Montague, Cassandra Lee, Lindsay Kitner, Corey Kleidon, their grandchildren, fondly considered her greatgrandchildren, Zoey, Tate Drake Montague, Aiden, Bennett, Noah, Natalie & Alex Lee, Brielle and Nolan Kitner, and many longtime friends.
