Carmen Valdes Obituary

Beloved wife of 68 years to the late Eugenio Valdés, whom she married February 28, 1954 and who preceded her in death on October 9, 2022, loving mother of Eugene, Carmen, Vivian, John and the late Antonio "Tony" Valdés, cherished grandmother of Paul and Julia Valdés; Antonio (Aminah) Jorgensen; Nathanael (Rachel), Benjamin, Joshua (Megan), Andrew (María), and Max (Sara) Gura; great-grandmother of eight, devoted daughter of the late Alfredo and Policarpa (née Díaz) Méndez, dear sister of María (the late Francisco) López and the late Alfredo (the late Ángeles "Lini") Méndez, fond aunt and friend of many.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 5 2025, 4:00-8:00 PM at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home Cremation Services, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL 60540.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 6, 10:00 AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 820 Division St. (Kingston & Front Streets), Lisle, IL 60532, (630) 963-4500.
Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.
