Carol A. Bauer age 92, of Plum City, formerly of Durand, died Sunday July 27, 2025, at the Plum City Care Center in Plum City.

Carol was born November 7, 1932, in Durand. She was the daughter of Paul and Alice (Urness) Fedie and grew up in Durand. Carol attended St. Mary's Elementary School through the 10 th grade and graduated from Durand High School in 1949. Carol attended Beautician's school in Eau Claire and worked for a few years at the Beauty Nook in Durand. Carol married Paul M. Bauer October 17, 1951, and they celebrated 71 years of marriage. After marriage they made their home in Newton Valley, rural Durand where they farmed and raised their family. After retiring from farming, they moved to the Township of Lima until 2018, when they moved to the Plum City Care Center, where they resided the rest of their lives.

Carol was an active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima. She volunteered at the Lima school library and taught Catechism. She enjoyed doing ceramics, gardening, flowers and fishing. The biggest joy of her life has been their 11 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren

Carol is survived by her children, Mike (Carol) of Eau Clarie, Gary (Nancy) of Durand, Sue (Dale) Klein of Arkansaw, Charles (Diane) of Durand; 11 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, Siblings, Paul (Carol Jean) Fedie, Betty Myers and Mary Jane Kralewski; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, a great grandson, Gabriel Bauer, four brothers, James, Dale, Ron and Chuck Fedie; three sisters, Lois Fedie, Rita Brunner and Janette Hoover.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday August 11, 2025, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church-Lima, Durand. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM at the church on Monday.
